Support and Resources

ENERCALC offers several avenues of technical assistance to our clients. Technical assistance is ONLY AVAILABLE while the user’s Subscription is in effect.

Your best first stop is the “For Our Users” page – where you’ll find downloads, links to videos, our FAQ and many other resources.

  • ENERCALC Annual / Monthly Subscriptions include access to the software, support, and all updates while your subscription is active.
  • Introductory Training Videos : View a collection of videos about general operation and each program module. We are currently recreating all of these videos to update them for the latest ENERCALC builds. These are very helpful for the new user! Click Here

ENERCALC SUPPORT INCLUDES:

EMAIL ASSISTANCE

You can contact ENERCALC technical support personnel directly via email to support@enercalc.com. The software contains built-in features to gather your information and prepare a report to send directly to us. We offer a menu item within the software to let you easily construct email messages.

TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE

Telephone assistance is available by calling 800-424-2252. To allow our staff to concentrate deeply on issues without interruptions the phones are staffed by professional receptionists who will take your contact information, preferably including your name, number, KW number (ie: customer number), and a brief description of the problem. Email is the primary method of personal assistance. However, voice mail messages are always returned within 1 business day.

REMOTE SESSIONS

We use remote session technology to assist users with questions that are more efficiently addressed in a visual manner. This single secure session enables us to see your computer screen to observe the behavior and, with your permission, use mouse and keyboard to inspect the issue and provide direction. Email is still the primary method of assistance, but if the technical support personnel determines that a remote session is the best way to resolve your issue, they will recommend and arrange one.

OFFICE HOURS

ENERCALC Office Hours is…

      • Your monthly refresher for all things ENERCALC
      • Held live monthly
      • Hosted by our in-house structural engineers (all with 6-10 years of design practice experience with ENERCALC)
      • Open to all, whether or not you have an ENERCALC subscription

LUNCH AND LEARNS

For our active ENERCALC subscribers, we offer no-cost, virtual “What’s new in ENERCALC” Lunch and Learns with one of our ENERCALC-experienced, in-house structural engineers.

These sessions are designed to refresh your engineering team’s understanding of ENERCALC functionality and share what’s new in our software. Naturally, there is time for questions and answers. Our lunch and learns are held virtually via our webinar platform.

In person sessions can be arranged ad hoc depending on our engineers’ schedules.

Lunch and Learns are not a “sales call” but they are also not designed to be a substitute for technical support.

JACK, THE ENERCALC AI BOT

Jack knows ENERCALC’s documentation and FAQ.

However, he will not answer questions outside the context of ENERCALC – other than questions about his backstory. In other words, when it comes to non-ENERCALC topics, Jack doesn’t know jack.

If Jack answers incorrectly (in full or in part), please email support@enercalc.com so we can have a HR conversation with him and provide him with the answer he should have offered.

As we provide Jack with corrections and adjustments to his answers, he will improve. His answers are monitored and corrected (as needed) by one of our ENERCALC-experienced structural engineers.

Please note: Jack is NOT intended to, nor will Jack become a replacement for the people of ENERCALC.

In fact, we’ve added 3 product engineers with a total of 26 years of experience with our software since Oct 2023.

The primary reason Jack exists is that he is available 24 x 7 x 365 and could be useful to you in the evenings or on a weekend when you need an answer from our support team before the next business day. Rest assured, he’ll never replace the ENERCALC team.
