A Project Approach
ENERCALC SEL has at its core the Project Manager, a consistent, but evolving layout that allows you to build a calculation document.
All engineering project contract documents have three parts : drawings, specifications and calculations.
Our role is assisting you in two ways: preparing your engineering calculations and organizing your project documentation, which might ultimately include ENERCALC generated calculations, PDFs of hand calculations or calcs produced with other software, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word documents, and other files, such as scanned images of sketches or photos of site conditions.
The ENERCALC SEL Project Manager wraps up all these separate documents into a single Project that can be managed and printed as your building department submittal.
We mentioned it is an evolving environment.
In addition to including ENERCALC calculations, the program allows the user to attach and launch files of nearly any format. In addition to the MS Office and PDF files mentioned above, users can insert files like jobsite photos and videos, MathCad sheets, and runs from programs like HILTI Profis and RedBuilt RedSpec into the Project Manager.
In addition to these abilities, the Project Manager has sections to let you keep track of the myriad of data in a project…: client, project site location, building department, revisions, designer notes, governing code, loads and forces, and more. The Project Load Group Builder allows development of database of commonly used building material weights; and provides a tool to sum and document load items that come into play in the applied loads throughout the current project.
ENERCALC provides databases of all typical rolled steel sections, sawn wood and engineered lumber sections, material grades for steel and wood and small databases for concrete block and rebar.
ENERCALC software provides well designed calculation reports for all of its modules.
The goal of our reports is to provide clarity and efficiency.
This benefits the reviewing engineer and governmental plan check reviewer by providing well laid out, concise and thorough report that details the structural design.
Allowing a prospective user to test ENERCALC and learn about the capabilities of all the modules is essential……and when you discover just how much it can do you will be excited…very excited.
