Flexible Deployment and Licensing options

ENERCALC offers 2 deployment options for Structural Engineering Library: Installed on your computer and cloud-based usage.

Cloud-based Usage: No license management / activation is required when using our software in the cloud. We call this service ENERCALC SE Cloud.

Installed on your computer: When our software is installed on your computer, you have 2 activation (license management) options: Internet-based or Network License Manager

Activation / License Management options:

  • Internet Activation / License Management – 95% of our users take advantage of our Internet Activation system. It allows you to share your seats easily between computers, up to your simultaneous seat count. An Internet connection (using http over port 80) is only needed momentarily for license validation (what we call "activation" and "deactivation").

You can select to leave the software activated on a computer or have automatic activate / deactivate when starting and ending sessions... two selections that offer tremendous flexibility.

  • Network License Manager - In rare instances where Internet Activation cannot be used (such as where strict Internet communication policies prohibit its use), we also offer a locally installed usage manager called the Network License Manager (NLM).

The NLM can be installed on your own server or dedicated computer, and can then be accessed by authorized users over your LAN by IP address. The NLM grants users permission to run the software simultaneously, up to your purchased seat limit. Use of the NLM requires a two seat minimum.

We don't use machine specific licensing or inconvenient hardware devices like "dongles" or USB keys.
