The program assumes a triangular distribution of soil pressure with a maximum at the bottom of the embedment depth. The pressure is determined by iterating with increasing depths until equilibrium is achieved.
The magnitude of the restraint force at the slab is determined by a sum of forces in the horizontal direction after the soil pressure distribution is determined.
