Quick Calc has been removed

I made good use of Quick Calc.  What can I do now?

Quick Calc has been eliminated.  It was no longer consistent with our data structure.

Our recommendation is to create a scratch file that you can open whenever you are working on something you don't think you are going to want to keep.  Add the calc to the scratch file and print it if need be.  This way, you always have the option of saving the calc and importing it into a real Project File (or sending it to us for support).

To see how to create a new Project File, open the User's Manual with the following link: https://www.enercalc.com/sel_help/ then navigate to the section titled "Sample Session".

Here is a tip that may be helpful to emulate that old behavior in a few easy steps:

1.Create a junk file named Scratch in SEL.

2.Close out of SEL and open a Windows browser.

3.Browse to Scratch.ec6, right-click on it, drag it to the desktop and choose the option to create a shortcut.

4.Rename the shortcut as Quick Calc if it will help you.

Now you can double-click that icon and it will bring you directly to a calc environment with even fewer clicks than the old Quick Calc option.
