How many instances can we run concurrently?

All Flex Licenses have a seat count.  The total number of activations (locally-installed plus cloud) is limited to the seat count for the license.

What happens to our ability to access the cloud version if we allow our MSP to expire?

Your access to the cloud version ends if your MSP is allowed to expire.

What does the Cloud version of SEL provide?

The Cloud version of SEL is the same software system as the installed system with a few differences that are described on a prior page. The engineering modules and overall capabilities are unchanged.

What does ENERCALC SE provide?

ENERCALC SE is only available in Cloud version.  It includes Structural Engineering Library, RetainPro and ENERCALC 3D.

Can I still use my purchased & installed ENERCALC license?

Yes. If you purchased an installed version of Structural Engineering Library and added Cloud usage of SEL, you will always be able to use the installed software.  Cloud use will be enabled for as long as the subscription is maintained.

How can I access the Cloud version?

You can either link to a launching web page with your Internet browser or download & install an “EXE” program that will launch it directly....it will appear and run just like any other program running on your computer.

Can I use the software in public computers, Internet cafes, hotel business centers and such?

Yes. Simply launch the software through the HTML 5 compliant browser installed on those computers.

How do I log in?

After you launch the software you enter your KW number and password. That identifies your license and restricts you to using only the projects you have created.

What is the proper way to log out of a session?

When you log out of a cloud session, you should close the application (STRUCTURE, for example), and close the menu / launcher application.

What happens if my session ends unexpectedly?

If you leave a cloud session in any other way, even unintentionally, the cloud session remains active. This includes a loss of internet connection, a browser crash, closing your browser, closing your browser tab, rebooting, closing the lid of your laptop, walking away, etc. In all of these cases, the cloud session continues running until the 30 minute timeout period has elapsed.

Your session will remain active for 30 minutes due to the normal timeout period established for a cloud session. The 30 minute timeout period is in effect whether or not you're connected to the session. Once the 30 minute timeout period has elapsed, any open project file will be saved before the session is closed by the timeout period's expiration process.

To resume working within the 30 minute period, just log back in to ENERCALC SE on the same computer.
