By default, a member is rigidly connected to two end nodes.  You may however assign moment releases to either end of the member. It is important to note that the releases are applied with respect to the member local coordinate system.  The moment releases may be in major bending direction (Doz) or minor bending direction (Doy) or both.  The element stiffness matrix is modified to enforce moment releases.
